Bee Community Action Agency (BCAA)

BCAA Services:

Community Services Block Grant (CSBG): Provides direct services to low-income clients and supplements Agency programs.

Weatherization Assistance Program: Home energy conservation measures for low-income households.

Title XX Home Delivered Meals: Home-delivered meals to elderly and disabled adults who are home bound.

Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP): Household energy related services for low-income persons.

Senior Citizens’ Program: Congregate and home delivered meals and transportation to persons 60 and older.

Head Start Program: Educational, medical, dental and mental health services to low-income, disabled, or language disadvantaged children.

Child Care Food Program: Provides meals to Head Start children.

Rural Public Transportation: Transportation services for the general public in the Agency’s non-urbanized area, utilizing a nominal fee structure and 24-hour advance notice requirement.

Coastal Bend Welfare-To-Work Transportation Program: Transportation for Coastal Bend Workforce development Board clients, for employment, training and job search.

Emergency Food and Shelter: Supplements the work of local agencies to assist people in need of emergency assistance relating to food, shelter and rent/mortgage.

Senior Texans Employment Program (STEP): BCAA serves as a host agency for this program, providing employment opportunities for low-income seniors (55+).

BCAA’s Safety Program: BCAA is committed to providing a safe workplace, and implements an agency-wide safety program designed to promote awareness and education for BCAA employees and clients.
